This morning, Prime Minister Trudeau made changes to his federal cabinet. Over the past two years, we have worked closely with a number of these Ministers on the priorities for the Métis Nation, including UNDRIP, culture and languages, child and family services, veterans, and many others.

I want to take this opportunity to thank those Ministers who we have worked with to advance the priorities of the Nation and our Métis Governments. We appreciate your dedication to working with us. Particularly, I want to thank Minister Miller for helping to strengthen the relationship between the Métis Nation and federal government through his work as Minister at CIRNAC, we look forward to working with Minister Anandasangaree in his new role.

I also welcome all Ministers to their new portfolios, as well as those who remain in the same appointments. We look forward to working directly with you to ensure that Métis priorities are Canadian priorities, and that Métis citizens have every opportunity that all Canadians do. I want to remind all Ministers of their responsibilities to work with Indigenous peoples in a distinctions-based way to ensure that Métis, Inuit, and First Nations priorities are top-of-mind in all decision-making processes.
